Pen size changes automatically

Hi,

I've been using TVPaint 9.5 for several years, and lately something weird and annoying is happening with the pen size.
Every time I slightly rise the pen from the tablet's surface out of its influence, and then lower it down again, the size of the pen gets smaller.
It happens whenever I move my hand over the tablet or flip between the eraser and writing tips (happens to the eraser size too).
This forces me to continuously check and correct the size during the work and needless to say, makes the working process very unpleasant.

This only happens in TVPaint.

Some tech specs:

I'm using iMac with macOS 10.8.
It happened right after I switched from my older Macbook Pro to this one, so I suspect there's a connection.
I am using Wacom Intuos 3.

I tried to fix it in the properties of the pen tool, but without any success.

I would really appreciate the help.

What are the exact Wacom drivers version ? TVPaint software version 9.5.x ? OS version : 10.8.x ?

This bug was found and fixed on TVPaint 10, due to a bad signal interpretation between TVPaint / Mac OS 10.8 and Wacom drivers.

Do you have that bug, even with the last version of TVPaint 9.5 ?

Yes I still have this problem.

I am using TVPaint Pro 9.5.21
Mac OSX 10.9.3 now, but the problem has began since 10.8.

I confirm the bug was fixed a long time ago.

But maybe you are still using the same config and shortcuts.
Check in your shortcuts what key is assigned to increase/decrease size, then check your Wacom divers too.

I don't know what to say - I made sure I have the most recent drivers and checked the shortcuts.
The problem remains.

Please post your shortcut file.

We will take a look and find what is linked to the increase/decrease the tool size and remove it (usually mouse wheel up/down but it could be something else).

I think I found the problem:

When you asked me to post the shortcut file, I scanned the list and as you mentioned - the wheel Up and Down functions were assigned for Increase/Decrease Brush size.
I tried to unassign the Decrease one ,and the problem was solved.

I didn't think about checking there since it was the default configuration (I restored to the default to make sure it was in fact that key assignment that gave me the problem , and it was).

I have a question though - Is there a way to assign a key for the Decrease brush size without having this problem?
I attached the shortcut file for your review.

you can use any key, but not the mouse wheel.
Wacom and Apple are not big friends.

Dear TVP-Community

As seen, this is on TVP 9.5, I have TVP 10 professional edition and have the same problem.

When I lift the pen on my intuos 4 and put it on the tablet again, the brush size decreases every time at the pace of 0.5. This hinders my workflow. If it's a bug, is there the possibility of downloading a patch? Just to note, I unassigned the brush size-keys in the configuration, but this didn't affect the described problem.

The problem was fixed in TVPaint 10, so you need to update your version.
