Looks rather like corporate convention than an animation festival from here.
But good look, guys, I hope you'll do good business!
Btw, the partnership with Wacom seems to be picking up pace doesn't it? Rightly so, because TVP and the Cintiq are made for each other, I think.
And it's great that you had that bundle with the Cintiq Companion Hybrid.

Re: International Animation Festival - Hiroshima 2014
It's a 30 years old festival with a competition, many screenings, people visiting from the whole planet, students, schools, independant film makers, jury, etc ...Sewie wrote:Looks rather like corporate convention than an animation festival from here.

But when we work on a booth, we can not have enough time to grab many pictures of the festival itself.
Here are the previous years reports, so you can have a better idea about it :
Hiroshima 2010
Hiroshima 2012
(no pictures from cinema rooms : we usually just never have the time to view any screening : too much people want to try TVPaint in Japanese on a Cintiq !)
At the moment, it's unfortunately limited to France, Swiss, Belgium and Luxembourg.Btw, the partnership with Wacom seems to be picking up pace doesn't it? Rightly so, because TVP and the Cintiq are made for each other, I think.

We try to expand the bundle to many places in Europe, US and Asia.
We are in touch with many Wacom representatives from various countries, so we will keep you informed as soon as possible about the bundle extension.

Lappy (Hiroanim's mascot) and I
People from a Japanese studio with Claudine and Naomiki, our nice translator.
Yes, pictures are forbidden, but everybody is taking pictures, so...
At the "competition films 2" screening.
We even met Mr. Suga from Wacom Osaka, it was a real pleasure, and I hope this meeting will be the beginning of a new strong partnership with Wacom Japan, equivalent to the one we have with Wacom France !
Special bonus : animation made by a young lady within 20 minutes, while she has never touched TVPaint before !

Re: International Animation Festival - Hiroshima 2014
Last pictures from Hiroshima Festival from me (then, I will enjoy my well deserved holidays in Tokyo )
Lappy's dance made with TVPaint on a Cintiq 24HD. Working with these tablets are so comfortable, I understand why animators lust after Cintiqs
Claudine with Inni Karine, a jury member who works with the famous Michel Ocelot (Kirkikou, Prince and Princess, Azur and Asmar...).
It looks like she really appreciated TVPaint
I'll let Claudine post some other pictures, as she had the opportunity to see the closing ceremony and the competition results.
(I cross my fingers especially for Kari and Sonia / Mathias ! To bad we could not met again before I leave).
I would like to thank all the kind people from the festival who did the best job I have ever seen from all festivals I had the chance to attend.
They were very kind and helpful, always concerned to give us a hand when we needed so.
I would like to thank as well Todoroki-san and Suga-san fro Wacom Japan for they kindness and their support. Having 2 Cintiq at our booth was very handy and our own Cintiq Hybrid was very appreciated by Japanese and Gaijin.

Re: International Animation Festival - Hiroshima 2014
Elodie, I met Claudine and Naomiki and they said you had to leave to travel, it would've been nice to meet you again! Next time then..
The closing party was good, I had to do so many drawings that I almost didn't have time to eat and drink. And I'm not used to do this, so most of the drawings were horrible!
The festival was great and you seemed to do very good work. I hear around that a lot of people are very interested. I was also doing some unintentional promoting, just because it came in the discussion. And because it was easy. Heh!
Good luck and thanks for the photos!
(btw, I think this word, overjoyed, seems to fit my photo - i look a little bit too happy:)
