Creating Paths Question

Post by Animark »

Hello,

I try to work with some paths. I create them using the path recorder. Alternatively I created some paths using the keyframer. And I try to manipulate the paths using the path manager. All this works, but I am a little bit irritated, because except when using the keyframer I cannot see my paths. It would be very helpful when manipulating paths with the path manager.

So, how can I make my paths visible? I hope, there is a button I haven't found yet ... ;-). In the manual they are visible.

Thanks for any help!

Hey animark,

Indeed I have been having the same issue.

I am not sure there is a button to show the path (there is the HUD check box at the bottom of FX stack but that wont show unless you have an effect in the stack, bug?)

The way I solved it was to always have a keyframer (or any fx that has the position parameter) in my FX stack and just click it when I needed to see the path....no really convenient I must say. :(

Hi Momo,

thanks for your Feedback. Yes, it is a little bit unusual but using an FX to show the path works. One of the aspects some users love TVPaint ... and others may not so much ;-).

Maybe they could add a "show path" button in the path manager panel?
