Loss of keymap after restart bug

Hello,

There a times when I start TVpaint and all my shortcuts are gone. So I have to reload the saved shortcuts.

No big deal but it seems there must be somekind of bug since it does happen on a semi frequent basis.

Anyone else has had problem?

This seems very strange because I can't remember another such case reported before. Where are you saving your .cfg? Try saving it in a different folder and see what happens next time. Which version of TVP are you on that you have such frequent crashes? Typically, what are you doing exactly when you experience a crash? What is the size and length of your project?

Hello Paul,

Well there are no crashes just TVpaint seems to "forget" my saved keyboard shortcuts. This happens very randomly and on no particular project. I am running the latest version of TVpaint 10.5.7

I did try to save my .cfg preferences in another folder but it still happened. Is there a location that would be best to save the shortcuts?

Maybe windows is the culprit? In any case since it has not happened before to anyone, it seems it is a specific problem with my machine.

This is strange and I have little else to offer for advice since it seems to be a first for TVP. Hopefully this exchange will catch the eye of one of the developers who can look into it deeper. Sorry.

Just to answer your earlier question, I save all my TVP related files, including custom panels and plugins, inside the C:/Program Files/TVPaint Developppement/... folder

My custom keymappings don't work when i re-open TVPaint. But they're not exactly forgotten either. They still show up as I configured them in the keyboard shortcut 'configure' window, but each time I open my project I have to enter the configure editor and click 'OK' before my shortcuts become active. If i don't do that then nothing happens when i press the keys I assigned. Frustrating.
