Lazy Nezumi Plugin

Post by Sewie »

Anyone tried this yet?:

I find the "Line Contraints" feature especially interesting.

I use this all the time in Photoshop. It's great for inking. For me it ends up mimicking the features of TVPaint in Photoshop, in that it allows for line smoothing and for more sensitive pressure curves. :)

I don't know, because I have never felt the need to use its features in TVP -- however, you can use the program as a free trial and check for compatibility before you buy. It is Windows only. One other thing to note -- the developer updates, fixes bugs, and adds new features constantly. I am very pleased with my license.

If you haven't checked it out already, I can report now that it works in TVP 10.5.7, 64-bit, under Windows 7 x64.

OLD topic , but I thought I would mention for anyone interested that the app Hej Stylus! has many of the same features as Lazy Nezumi for line smoothing and various types of drawing guides (perspective guides, ellipse drawing guides ,etc.) which will work in TVPaint. (of course , TVPaint has a line smoothing function built-in and also various drawing guides , but I must say that for me the Hej Stylus! guides work better and the line smoothing can be fine-tuned to a much higher degree in Hej Stylus! than in TVPaint's own line smoothing function)

Hej Stylus! works in Mac OS. It costs $30.00 (U.S. dollars) and is a one time purchase price , no subscription , free updates.

Even if I heard of Lazy Nezumi a few times a friend recently told me how much it sped up his workflow, but since it's Windows only I really appreciate the recommendation!

Lazy Nezumi definitely works in TVP. I use it all the time. And not just for line smoothing. You can use it for lines and circles too. But it only works on window s

for some reason this plugin only works in my STD copy of tvpaint. it doesn't work on the WIBU one--the program just doesnt hook to the window anymore. so I've come from using it everyday, to only occasionally when I open another art program (something like Clip Studio Paint) oops. I don't have the opportunity to figure out why yet, but maybe on a free day I'll look into it more.

wanted to report that this plugin stopped working after 11.7 I lobbed a question at their contact and they said it had to do with the DRM losing compatibility? Is this something that will be worked on in the future?

For now I kept my 11.5 version for when I need to do any sort of study or animation that requires a lot of perspective guides.
