keyframer & repeat

Post by hellofilms »

Having a walking loop and want to use the keyframer to move that.
The loop is 16 frames and I set the sequence to repeat and the keyframer second key later than the last frame in the loop.
Se image.

but the images does not move after frame repeat starts.
do you need an actual frame to do this? this means that you have to copy paste to make it work.
Not a big deal in this case just curious how it works.

I can stretch the last exposure until the end of the scene and then use "faux-fixe" set to repeat 32.

Great, thanks!
Worked very well.

Another problem there.
the animation is in two layers so I want the motion to effect both layers.
But it only does one layer.
I select the group-option but it does not seem to work.

The KeyFramer will render the layers one at a time... maybe you didn't wait (but it goes pretty fast). Did you first stretch out the last instance of the second layer and set the Faux Fixe the same way as you had on the first layer?

I set it for the first layer and thought it would automaticilly be se set for layer 2.
( they are in the same group )
I did not render I just wanted to see if it worked out well.

Maybe you have to render it to see it work?

I set the faux Fixe the same in the both layer.

but when I select the other layer the keyframer fx is added there and the first layer is not working.
How to make them work in a preview at the same time?

I don't think you can preview them at the same time, but if you don't like what you see after rendering, you can hit undo, adjust, and start over again.

Thanks.

I guess the best ways if you want to use keyframer on a looped movement like walk is to have that image seq in a sep clip and to use load that clip into a new clip using keyframer.
