blue sketch line erase

Post by hellofilms »

The blue pencils used for sketching and to be able to ease them later on.
But this only works if you use black lines.
If you use another color as line color the erase blue-tool will also erase the blue information within that other color.

It seems like that when testing it.

Just want to check if this is how it works.

Yes, erasing of blue/red/orange pencils only works as desired when used with black lines.

If you work with lines in other colours than black, just keep sketch and cleanup on different layers.

Thanks,

Thats was if I found out was the best way.

If you want to have you lines in another color than black there could be differrent ways to work.
You do it all in black lines from the start to get a god view of the animation and then want to color lines.

1. You could use the blackanimation as mask and paint in the colors in another layer.

2. If you want all black lines turned into another color do you use FX Stack / color / colorreplacer then?

Any experience in how this works best?

See this post:

viewtopic.php?f=34&t=8741#p79714" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

A custom script (by Svengali) With a single click replaces the line color of an entire layer with the current "A" color in the Color Picker.

And here is another method for doing it (which is a several step method that Svengali's script does with one click) -

Ths script by svengali works fine but you have to select the images you want to change color to. If you just choose the layer and press the button for some reason the function will also add some 30+ frames in the end of the layer. Making copies of the last one.

I cannot open the script so I don´t see fi there is some kind of setting there. ( I am not familiar with the script language so I dont know if I will understand it. )

That's odd. It doesn't do that for me (TVP 10.5.7 running on Mac OS 10.9) . When I use Svengali's shortcut button I only have to click the button one time and it changes the color of the lines on the currently active layer to whatever "A" color I have selected in the Color Picker. It does not add 30+ frames at the end of the layer.

Perhaps Sven will see this topic and can help you figure out why you are experiencing that odd behavior.
