Flip selection

Post by Dennis Sisterson »

Hi. This is my first post. Loving the programme, well done to all concerned.
Here's my query: How do I mirror a selection? ie, flip it horizontally or vertically. (I found a post that mentions the square bracket but that just seems to flip the view - what I need is to put a mirror transformation on a single drawing - cell or selection - without affecting the rest of the layer or project.)
Thanks.
(I'm using Windows 4 64 bit, TVP version 10 pro.)

hi Dennis, and welcome.

what I use to do is :
- Selection / Cut to Brush (if it's not already cut),
- hit [X] = shortcut for CustomBrush / flip horizontally, (or [Y] for flip Vertically )
- disable Stencil (or delete selection)
- CustomBrush / Stamp in Place (in the Tool: CustomBrush panel)

btw, what's exactly your tvpa pro version, v10.?.?
we need to know the 2 last numbers to see if you're up to date or not.
• What is your software version (for example : Mirage 1.5, TVPaint 9.5.21, TVPaint 10.0.11, etc...)

Hi ZigOtto
Sorry for the late reply, I've just found your answer - still useful though! Many thanks. (I'm using 10.5.7 btw)
