Post by HAM »

How can I import images (JPEG, PSD) into TV Paint Animation project? I have currently a demo version of TV Paint Animation. Thanks for a response.

Welcome in the TVPaint forum HAM,

yes, you can import jpeg, and psd files.
you can also load images sequences like : file_001.jpg, file_002.jpg, ...
if you load a single .psd file, the photoshop layers will become tvpaint layers.

Welcome HAM,

When importing an image in TVP Animation, you need to use the "new layer" tab into the import panel (see picture). This will create a new layer with your image (or video) in your current project.

There are different options in that tab :
- If check, the first one will stretch the image to the project size, else your image will be cut.
- If check, the second one will modify the aspect ratio of your image to the one of the project.
- If check, the third one will modify the frame rate of your animation to the project one (only for animation and video).
- If check, this option will interpolate the sequence when stretching to project frame rate (only use if the previous one is checked).
- If check, only the display image (on the right of the panel) will be import (only for animation and video).

To display the import panel, use the "load" menu in the main menu or drag and drop your file on TVP Animation.

Regards,
Patrice
