imported images

Post by momo »

Hello,

I was wondering if imported images become part of the .tvpp file or do they function through dependency like for sounds?

both are possible,
depending on your "Preload" option, if it have been checked ON/OFF when importing the sequence.

Thanks ZigOtto,

I didn't know about that checkbox.

I assume that under project->dependencies->save dependencies into the project lets you save all dependencies to the .tvpp files?

Manual_dependencies
it is possible to preload the files later via the main menu Project > Dependencies > Load all. This menu also displays the path and name of files on which your project depends.

Dependencies are external sources.

When you save dependencies, you don't depend anymore on external sources, since they are loaded in your project.

That makes your files bigger, but at least, you won't have any bad surprise when opening them (aka "damn, i forgot to copy my my sound and images files, now I cannot work without then")

Maybe a name like "integrate dependencies" could be a bit more fitting

"collect dependencies" or "consolidate dependencies" also could be a good command name.
