Texturizer and Inlay Texture

Post by NathanOtano »

Yop!

I both tried the Texturizer of CTG layers and the Inlay Texture FX, and it was really difficult for me to have kind of a textre following a simple round zone evolving, colored with CTG Layers. Especially the texturizer, it was really difficult to move it to the right place.

I was wondering if somebody intenssively tested it and has some advices to make it work better?

i don't think the texturizer works yet.

That is to say, i could'nt get usefull results out of it

the inlay texture fx did better for me but unfortunately in the higher resolutions, i had regular crashes.

They should be both working and giving you good results. The inlay texture random crash bug was fixed in the v11.0.1.
If still crashing, can you post a project in which the crash still occurs ?

Nathan, regarding the tests you have done, the best would be to post an image or better a tvpp.
If by " simple round zone " you mean some geometric shape (like a circle), it won't give good results. It's intended to work better on hand-drawn shapes.

Ok, good to hear it :) i'll try some more in depth tests when i'll have more time, nothing to post yet (just some basic tests, that's maybe why it wasn't really good, i need more testing on a real animation). I was wondering if there is some specifications to have on the animated shapes, and a simple workflow with the texturizer that i still don't understand very well. I have to practice i think

The problem with geometric shapes + texturizer comes from the various symetry axis which disturb the shape recognition. It doesn't happen on a real handrawn painting.
For more informations about the process :
