Hi Thierry
No - I have a MacBook Pro 17" Early 2011 model.

It may be because of your config. Did you copy-pasted your config from v10 to v11 ?
Could you try to delete your config (located in /Users/<username>/Library/tvp animation 11) and try to launch TVPaint Animation again ?
Ok, that worked - you are right, I might have been installing the 32-bit version right after the 64-bit and forgot to delete the prefs. And the brush functions fine, so all is cool! Sorry I reacted in such haste - I was just too sure TVPaint never crashes and it really surprised me, when it didn't work :)

What happens if you remove the dock ? Or make it disappear ? Do you still have the lag in that case ?

Could you try this :
1.) Fixing this issue starts with the total removal of the driver: Applications > Wacom Tablet > Wacom Tablet Utility, then select Remove tablet software (not preferences).
2.) Once this process is done, restart your computer. This should actually stop any bits that may be running even after the uninstall, if they are running into permissions issues. Unplug your Cintiq from the computer and power down the Cintiq.
restart
3.) Before installing the latest driver from the Wacom site, we need to do a little house cleaning.

Delete any of the following that you find on your computer:

Applications > "Wacom" and or "Wacom tablet" folder
Library > Application Support > Tablet (folder)
Library > Preference Panes > WacomTablet.prefPane
Library > Preferences > Tablet (folder)
System > Library > Extensions > Wacom Tablet.kext

Now install the latest driver from the Wacom site . Now power up the Cintiq and plug in the Cintiq to your computer.
Wacom gave this solution to other users that had similar issues on TVPaint (amongst other softwares)

Hi
I just purchased your software TVP 11 Pro. Got my DVD, etc and installed it and registered it. I then went to update it to version 11.0.2. Everything seemed to work, but when I went to check the version number it only says I have 11 not 11.0.2. How can I tell if it is really updated?
Thanks for the info.

Hi oellen,

Is it the 32-bits version ? If yes, you only need to draw a little bit and it will refresh the title bar (it's a known refresh bug).

You can look it up under Help-> About TVPaint Animation ...
The version number should be in the title bar.
It is also visible in the title bar of the program if you are not in full screen mode.

Don' t go to TVpaint Animation 11-> About TvPaint Animation (on the left) because there it just says "Version 11"

Maybe it should be a new topic, maybe not, you decide.
But I noticed strong lagging every time I use either rectangle, or ellipse or any tool other than stroke when using with my animated brush. By the way, it happens also with animated brushes coming within "Tools Presets" palette which ships with TVP 11 so it is not problem with my brush. Is it normal, that this tools get so slow with animated brushes, or is it mac only problem?
Did anyone else noticed this strange behaviour?
Thnx

In preferences, you can uncheck the option that displays the brush when drawinf rectangles, ellipses or splines. You can also use the "none" mode for anti aliasing.

(if you don't find the aforementioned feature in preferences, please let me know, il will send a screen shot)

I'm just starting to use TVP on a new Mac Mini at home and I noticed more lag than I'm used to when working in Windows or Linux (at work). When drawing a line swiftly , not super fast, the cursor is 3/4 of an inch ahead of the line. After reading through this thread I also tried the drawing circle thing and found faster drawn circles to resemble octagons, made up of straight lines. Going full screen did not fix this.
I'm using:
TVP 11 Pro 11.0.2 64bits, but tried 32bits too, both installed
I updated to the latest Wacom driver
OSX Yosemite
10.10.5
Mac Mini
1.4 Ghz Intel copre i5
4GB 100MHz DDR3
IntelHD Graphics 5000 1536 MB

Is there anything I could do to improve performance? Is this a hardware issue, not enough memory, slow processor or graphics card?
I bought the Mac Mini because I liked the small size. I'm trying to assess if I should just go back to using the PC.

Greetings from "a same reason" Mac mini user,
I regret to say for first time, however your Mac mini seems not enough only memory.
Yosemite "perfectly" run with TVPaint required 8-16GB memory ; including IntelHD Graphics 5000 reserved (1.5GB).
