Import (Drag and Drop)
Hi TVPaint Community,
I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue. When i have a folder open and try to drag and drop a file into TVP - Sometimes the IMPORT window appears and sometimes nothing happens at all. When nothing happens, i have to use the New | Import Footage drop down menu. Its not a big deal, but im curious why Drag and Drop works somethings and not all the time. Maybe i'm doing something wrong.
Thanks,
Johnny G.

What OS are you using (Mac ? Windows ? Linux ?)
What version of TVPaint Animation are you using ? Standard ? Professional ? Is your TVPaint Animation up-to-date ?
Also, what kind of file doesn't make the Import window appear ?

Hi Thierry,
Yea i guess thats information is important... LOL
TVP 11.0.0 Professional- 64bit
Windows 7 64 Bit
The files are JPGs, PNGs - They both work for the import window and dont work.

Re: Import (Drag and Drop)
I've noticed that this happens sometimes to me, too. The fix is to click on the open TVP project window first (to make sure TVP is 'active') , then click in to the folder where your image sequence is , then click and drag the first image of the sequence into the open TVP project window and that should open the Import window.johnnygjunior wrote: When i have a folder open and try to drag and drop a file into TVP - Sometimes the IMPORT window appears and sometimes nothing happens at all. I think the reason this happens (where you drag and drop a file and the Import window does not appear) is because TVP is not active . Clicking on the open TVP project window first , then click and drag the image sequence on to the TVP project window seems to always work for me.

AH!!!!
ok. so it was my method that wasn't working. I opened the folder window... click on tvpaint - had the 2 windows side by side and without clicking on the folder (to NOT deactivate TVP), I dragged the file in.
BOOM! you are a genius. Thanks so much!!!

If i remember well it depends of the type of file you want to import, or if an image with the same name is already imported in the project. It happened to me but i can't remember exactly why.
