Maybe this will help you a little:
A while ago I made this tool to sharpen a drawing after several rotations.
It is basically the filled rectangle tool set to "sharpen" and the opacity set to 30-40%
All you have to do is to quickly cover the drawing with the rectangle. And if it is still blurry you can just hit "enter" to sharpen it a little bit more.
I saved this tool in a panel and use it all the time.
But of course it is best not to rotate the drawing a lot of times.

Great idea ! I just made one for myself - Filled Rectangle set to "Sharp" mode, 30% opacity , New Custom Panel - Grab Current Tool , Re-name panel to "Sharpen Drawing" . I think I'll put in my Handy Panel - Misc. Tools .furushil wrote:Maybe this will help you a little:

Previously I'd use the FX Stack> Color >Curves> Alpha to sharpen lines that had become a bit blurry , using a method I got from ZigOtto -

But your idea of using the Filled Rectangle in Sharp mode as a custom tool for sharpening is faster.

Re: Image degradation when manipulating
The zig method (Fxstack >color>curves>alpha)
gives far superiour results compared with the sharping mode.
at least here....
as a test i used a high resolution very blurry airbrush stroke and i had to apply the sharp-mode rectangle many times before anything happenend.
but when it does its very grainy (see image)
so as a feature request, maybe the sharp mode can be improved to this level?

Re: Image degradation when manipulating
All those sharpening tips are great for now. But I agree with David, it would be great if TVP could catch up with other bitmap programs and keep the lines a little sharper when they are manipulated.

Yes, I can see that . I agree. I think the method suggested by furushil using a custom tool of the Filled Rectangle set to Sharp mode at 30% - 40% opacity is good for a quick fix to an image that has not been transformed too much, but is just a little bit blurry. Zig's method (FX Stack >Color>Curves>Alpha) is better for more extensive repair on blurry lines.Peter Wassink wrote:The zig method (Fxstack >color>curves>alpha)
