Hey everyone, I just signed up on the forum last week. I've been using TVPaint 10.0.16 for a couple months and it is truly an amazing program, so I went ahead and purchased TVPaint 11 Pro. I also want to thank the team that is working on this magnificent work of art and everyone who supports it.
TVPaint (both 10.0.16 & 11) will open but automatically crashes and continues to do this until I do this:
1) Open taskmanager
2) end process for "GWU.exe" and/or "TWCU.exe"
At first I just end processed suspicious programs like these to see if it was the cause and my assumption worked out. After doing that TVPaint functions normally, even after closing and reopening the program, this only happens when I restart my computer. I was wondering if anyone else has/had this issue, if there is a permanent solution(thinking of deleting the 2 programs), or why this is happening? As a side note, I'm waiting for my unlock code which will hopefully arrive today or sometime this week. Maybe TVPaint 11.0.1 already resolved this issue, but as of now I'm unsure.

I think when you receive your unlock code for TVPaint 11 you should uninstall both versions , then reinstall TVPaint 11 , register it , and then immediately update to TVPaint 11.0.1 .Broughtvulture wrote:Hey everyone, I just signed up on the forum last week. 10.0.16 is an old version from over 2 years ago (and long unavailable for download from TVPaint.com) , so I can only assume the version you are using was downloaded from some other site , so it may have a virus hidden in it by the pirates who hacked it. As precaution run your anti-virus software and completely uninstall TVPaint 10.0.16 .

Classical problem when using cracked products like 10.0.16.
Format your hardrive and reset your whole operating system.
Then check your bank account if you used your credit card recently, change your credit card if required.
Remember : Pirates are not here to help anyone.
They just want your steal your money with hacked software, give you viruses, malware, etc ...

Re: TVPaint 11.0.1 crashes after computer boot
This is getting frustrating, seems as if TVPaint Animation 11.0.1 Pro isn't opening at all and when it does it crashes at random times during the saving process of my project. At first I got this error, when I tried opening it.
Application Error:
The instruction at 0xdb73e4aa referenced memory at 0xffffffff. The memory could not be read.
So I decided to uninstall and reinstall and it worked after trying to open it the second time and the I decided to save and boom it crashes. So I tried opening it again, low behold it is back to step one of trying to open it once again.
Application Error:
The instruction at 0xda48191f referenced memory at 0xda48191f. The memory could not be read.
Here is a summary of the opening process. I have a shortcut of TVPaint on my taskbar and when I click on it, the program highlights(like any normal program), then dehighlights(like it was closed) a second later without even popping up a window. But when it does stay highlighted it either works or shows those Application Error windows. Please help. I decided to continue this thread, since the problem seems to be similar.

Re: TVPaint 11.0.1 crashes after computer boot
The newest released version is 11.0.2 . Try updating to 11.0.2 to see if that helps .Broughtvulture wrote:This is getting frustrating, seems as if TVPaint Animation 11.0.1 Pro isn't opening at all and when it does it crashes at random times during the saving process of my project.

Re: TVPaint 11.0.0 crashes after computer boot
yes, a lot have crash bugs have been fixed in the 11.0.2.
Of course, as long as you have a cracked software 10.0.16 installed, things might not work as expected.
As explained above, there is only one thing to do in your situation :
