"And finally, don't forget to say "Hello", especially when you post in the forum for the first time, we are not machines "

Im not a machine also, i'm a hard working customer who spend 750 € for a software he cannot use.

I would say you were using a line smoothing in TVPaint 10 that is not activated in TVPaint 11.

Hi
Johannes

Have you tried to set tablet to "Wintab" and enable subpixels int the Edit>Preferences>General tab?

Kind Regards Mads

Hello Mads,

the subpixel check did the trick. Thank you very much.

Cool, glad i could help.

A thought to the developers.
I can see the subpixel is unchecked by default. Maybe it should be checked by default? To avoid this jagged lines?

+1 . This has been a source of confusion to some of my online students who use TVPaint 11 on Windows. I have to go through the whole "Do you have tablet set to Wintab with subpixel checked ?" dialogue via emails back and forth , then that fixes their problem. But if this stumbling block could be removed for the new user I think it would be a good idea.

I have a student with a mac who has troubles with jagged lines.
when i tried to switch on subpixel i realised this option is not available on the mac.
What are her options?

The problem is that the lines become stepped, more so when drawing zoomed out.
In Windows this issue is typicly solved with the subpixel option.

The behaviour you describe is different (and not linked) to this topic (which is a Window issue).

For Mac, everything is explained here : http://forum.tvpaint.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=9223" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
