No Thumbnails or Quicklook preview on Mac

I do remember seeing TVPaint files displaying thumbnail previews (or maybe it was on Windows only?).
Anyway - on my Mac, OSX 10.10 (Yosemite), TVP 10.5 - I don't see thumbnail previews, and Quicklook says: "this preview cannot be safely displayed in quick look"
any ideas? thanks

It was for Windows only, never on Mac, unfortunately.

Of course you can add whatever image to your TVP file: open image in Preview, select all, copy, get info for TVP file, select icon in top left, paste.
But I'd really like TVP to do this automatically while saving: just paste the first frame.

NO way I'm doing this for every tvp scene!
