Some have been created with this topic in mind + various feedbacks from japanese studios.

What rock have I been living under to have missed that update?

Good job, you nailed it perfectly.

Toonz replaced Retas for me handling this job yesterday, TVP just replaced Toonz today.

Thanks!

thanks. 8)

If you see anything that should be improved, let us know.
With all feedbacks we had from japanese studios, I still have some ideas that can be implemented in the V11 (11.0.4 ?), and some others that will be implemented later in the next engine.

hmmm ... not exactly. it sounds like this problem has always been here, even in the v10 (did anyone check with the v9 too ?).
Anyway, it didn't prevent whole films to have been animated on Mac, Red-Turtle is a good exemple.

I was using with TVP v9 - v10.5 on Mac mini (i7 2-4 core, 16Gb memoy and FireWire 800 HDD for bootable system disc) and Mac Book Pro (2008) with Wacom intuos 4 S and EIZO (nanao) 24 fullHD monitor.
Anytime faced zooming (50 - 400%) lag.

More seriously problem I had since v9.x (with Safenet USB dungle) - v11.0.3 (trial version),
  • "wrong vertical text mode"
"could not change from Microsoft Ariel Unicode (including many wrong kanji/kana character) to formal Japanese serif/san-serif UTF-8 font
when I export storyboard by PDF and HTML"
"desktop refresh bug when OSX using every 2 bite character languages - Mandarin, Bopomofo (Taiwanese Imput Method), Japanese, Mongolian, Thailand, Tibetan and etc)" on 64bit
  • QuickTime Player 7001.jpg

I can't imagine it was already there in version 10 or maybe it was, but not that strong, since I used a really heavy zoom on a lot of shots with tiny background-characters. I'm pretty sure I would have noticed such a lag. Maybe it's just some interference between the current OS X and TVPaint or some Wacom drivers and TVPaint or something like this.

    menu bar transparency : on/off ?
    grayscale mode : on/off ?
    emphasize contrast : on/off?
Ink (especialy English/Français/Deutsche)
  • setting : on/off ?

  • setting : off

Wacom tablet driver
  • option setting : Character recognition mode : on/off ? -> could not find this one
Both modes give the same result (but I'm using the first option, non the second)
Thank you for your help

Second, System preference "Ink" : off
and final, change Image

result :
In fact Wacom hardware that connected with Mac become "enable the second option" automaticaly.
However (you understand well), Wacom driver will exchange when the preference setting keep : 標準モード, means "preset".

But with me, "Standard" (1st option) or "Recognition Data" (2nd option) give the same result. I see no change.

環境は2009年からMac mini(現在は2011モデル)と非Retinaモニター(DVI-D接続)・intuos 4 Small(Mac mini USB2コネクタ直結)です。

Ink
