Paint bucket problem Topic is solved

I am using the paint bucket and setting the source as the layer above, but when I fill, it is bound by lines on a layer which is above the above layer as well. Why is that and how can I set it to only the immediate layer above, or is the idea meant to be all layers above?

yes, it's all the layers above.
but you can also display only the required layers and use the "display" option.
