Camera tool help?

Post by KutsiKats »

Hey hi! So im a girl, and ive just turned 14 years old, and Im into digital arts and all that but thats not important.
My uncle has TVPaint 10 and he gave me a copy of it for my birthday and I know the basics and stuff, he thought me the main bits before he left but something I noticed with the camera tool is that when I set a path, it moves the camera throughout the whole project and im wondering, is there a way to only use the camera tool on a certain amount of frames/certain area of time? Ive played around with it and I really cant find a way? Like even just a way of pausing the camera in an area for a few seconds, im working on a scene and it involves the last few seconds of it looking up into a sunset and I dont want any camera movements on the rest of the project, just these few seconds?
This is probably a really kind of newbie question and Im really sorry if its been answered before, but I cant seem to find any solution. Again, ive only had tvpaint for a few days so its all very new to me.
I should also add, I have TVPaint 10 professional edition and a Windows 7 64 bit computer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Ah yes sorry, I completely forgot to state the other factors, my apologies!

My OS Is windows 7 and its 64 bit

My software version is TVPaint Animation 10 Pro v10.0.16, Professional version

Im not sure what architect it is, again im very new to it, however in "properties" and in "target" it states 32 bit, So I believe its 32 bit?

It sounds like your uncle get you an illegal cracked version of the software for your birthday. Not so nice of him !
If it's an illegal copy, it's not necessary to come back here, for you will get no help from us.

KutsiKats : as Elodie mentioned above , the version 10.0.16 is a known cracked version of TVPaint . I suppose it is within the realm of possibility that your uncle purchased a legit copy of TVPaint 10.0.16 some years back and he simply never bothered to update the software over the last four years. So, IF the version you have is not a cracked version there is one way to know for sure: can you update it to the latest iteration of TVPaint 10 , which is version 10.5.7 ? If yours is a legitimate license of TVPaint 10.0.16 then you can make a free update to the latest version 10.5.7 . You will need to have the registration codes to do this. Contact TVPaint for help in updating to 10.5.7 . http://www.tvpaint.com/v2/content/artic ... ontact.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Otherwise if you don't have reg. codes and you can't update from 10.0.16 to 10.5.7 then it is definitely the cracked version and there is nothing more to say except to advise you to purchase a legal , registered version of TVPaint and then come back here and you will find everyone very willing to help .

oh gosh thats disapointing to hear, he wasnt a full time animator so I suppose he might have downloaded a cracked one and given it to me? Im terribly sorry, I hadnt a clue I had an illegal crack, If I had my own money I would definately buy the full version, but as I stated I have just turned 14, and have no income whatsoever, again, Im sorry about this!

We know you did not intentionally download the crack version (or at least, we believe it :) ).

If you cannot update your license to 10.5.7, it definitely means you are using an illegal version. We won't do anything against you, but we won't answer your questions. That's our policy here.
