TVP 11.0.3 crashing with El Capitan in FullScreen Topic is solved
Re: TVP 11.0.3 crashing with El Capitan
You can try again to reset the configuration and see if "new TVPaint configuration" + "new Wacom drivers" are helpful.
If the problem still occurs, I will send you a temporary beta version (like the last time), so we can have the error message when it crashes.

Re: TVP 11.0.3 crashing with El Capitan
Thanks Elodie, I'll try that. Where do I find the place to reset the configuration to "new TVPaint configuration" + "new Wacom drivers"?

Re: TVP 11.0.3 crashing with El Capitan
Click on "Finder" Icon
Click on "Go" top menu
Hit "Alt" key on your keyboard to display "Library"
Find "TVP Animation 11 Pro" folder and rename it (blabla for instance : it's just for a test).
Launch TVPaint, use Fullscreen mode and quit : doest it still crash ?

Re: TVP 11.0.3 crashing with El Capitan
Elodie,
Thanks for walking me through that again. I followed your instructions and renamed the folder, but it's still crashing when I quit in full-screen mode
Also, I noticed that TVP 10 Pro is still in a folder in my library. Could that be causing the crash problem?

Re: TVP 11.0.3 crashing with El Capitan
When I just went back into the library to remove the TVPaint 10 Pro, and TVPaint 11 Pro Beta folders, I noticed that there was the TVP 11 Pro folder that I had renamed to "blahblah" as per your instructions, but that there is another folder that is labeled TVPaint 11 Pro. I don't believe it was there earlier. Would it have recreated another folder named TVP 11 Pro due to my renaming the folder to "blahblah"?
And could that be an issue with regards to the software crashes?
Re: TVP 11.0.3 crashing with El Capitan
No, it's normal : when TVPaint cannot find any config file name TVP animation 11 pro, it automatically creates a new one, with the default config
So now, you can close TVPaint, delete the current 'tvp animation 11 pro' and rename "blablabla 11 pro" as "tvp animation 11 pro" : that way, you will find back your previous config with brushes and shortcuts.

Got it.
Thanks Elodie!

Re: TVP 11.0.3 crashing with El Capitan
I just finally updated to Capitan, I'm getting the crashing too. Minimising the screen stops it for me as well. Have you any news on the sierra update issues or is it safe to plough ahead?

Re: TVP 11.0.3 crashing with El Capitan
For the record: I recently updated to El Capitan and I have not experienced any unusual crashing with TVPaint Pro 64 bit version. It seems very stable. I installed the older Wacom driver that Elodie recommended .

,Wacom Intuos Pro 5 , Wacom driver version 6.3.39-1
Re: TVP 11.0.3 crashing with El Capitan
D.T., can you tell me which Wacom driver are you using? I don't even want to take the time to program the express keys and touch rings again because the next crash wipes them out.
This El Capitan issue is a real pain.

I'm using this one : http://www.tvpaint.com/owncloud/index.p ... JT2pmLbO4S" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I know those crahses are annoying as hell, but since they cannot be repeated on every machine (and ours cannot reproduce it), it is almost impossible to fix it...
By the way, how do you quit TVPaint ? In the best, I remember there was one way that could bring crashes.

Re: TVP 11.0.3 crashing with El Capitan
I completely understand, Elodie. For some odd reason, some people running the same platform & operating system are getting different results in terms of these crashes. I'm hoping to move from an iMac to possibly a Mac Pro soon, and hopefully the crashing issue won't follow me.
To answer your question, when I minimize the TVP screen before closing the program, no problems. But when I forget to minimize the screen before closing, it crashes every time.

Re: TVP 11.0.3 crashing with El Capitan
When I close TVP, I close it from the "File" menu at the top of the screen.
Re: TVP 11.0.3 crashing with El Capitan
Ok, I'll give it a try on Monday (I'm not in the office).
