project disappears when saving

Post by kariP »

Hi all,

I'm having a trouble with disappearing files when saving them. I'm now a bit cautious, so I haven't been doing a lot of testing, but the case seems to be this:

I have a project v3. If I save it, cmd+s, tvp seems to override the project with a different, blank looking file which cannot be opened. Or tvp hides the real project somewhere.
this seems to be the case
this seems to be the case
when trying save as, tvp offers this view, where I can still see the real project. But I can't find this masterman_v3.tvpp directly from the finder.
when saving as
when saving as
save as.png (17.28 KiB) Viewed 9459 times
This is worrying, because I can now only find the project from "recent files" menu and.. something is happening, what is it?

Ok, I found out that I had the multi-backup active. While saving that, TVP hides the real project. I don't know for what reason.
Maybe this is old news and the new version of TVP is fixed with these things, but the multi-back up seems to also create non working files on 10.5.7.

Sorry for the hassle, I'll just switch it off and have my own backup-plan!

Have a great day

Hello Kari,

When saving, files are always greyed out to tell you something is happening and you have to wait a little. In the first screenshot, everything is fine : your file can be loaded. That's not related to TVPaint, that's how files are saved on Mac OS.

You just have to drag and drop them in TVPaint or delete the digits that come after .tvpp
