Hello everyone.
I’m recently running into this problem.
When drawing in TVPaint, every time I lift my pen up off my Wacom tablet and then resume drawing
the pen size decreases, so in a few steps it will go from 100%
to 80% then 40% etc. until 0%. This happens with all pens, brushes etc.
Can anyone help me with this problem?
I’m using TVPaint animation pro 9 with a Wacom Intros 3, driver 6.3.15-3 ( the newest drivers, 6.3.18-4 do not
seem to work at all ) on a Macbook pro with OSX El Capitan 10.11.5
many thanks in advance,
Hans

Re: Ever decreasing brush size
Check your Wacom settings. Couldit be brush size is mapped to one ofthe tablet's buttons and you accidentially touch it?

Re: Ever decreasing brush size
Thanks Slowtiger for your quick response.
unfortunately this is not the cause of the problem.
Since I’m left-handed, and the buttons are on the left side of the tablet also,
I touch them all the time. Therefore they’re all disabled.
I even rotated the tablet 90 degrees to stay away from the buttons completely
( even though they’re all “off” ) but the problem still remained.

Re: Ever decreasing brush size
Hey Hans,
i remember this issue, from a long time ago.
it was solved... but i don't remember how, i'll see if i can find it...
*edit*
here's a post with that issue:
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=6565" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
it was that the touchstrip used to be linked to the mouse wheel function as a default, causing this unwanted behaviour for many users.
the mousewheel input has since then been disconnected from any tvpaint commands in the default keyboardshortcuts.
but since you don't touch that strip i'm not sure as to what it could be...
maybe if you check what keyboard key you have connected to "tools option: decrease size"
it could be that key is somehow stuck...?

Re: Ever decreasing brush size
go in the preference panel and desactivate mouse wheel shortcuts.

Thank you so much, Fabrice,
That did the trick!
( and such a nice simple solution, even I could understand )

Re: Ever decreasing brush size
Glad to see it worked.
That's an old problem in the v9 (incompatibility with some Wacom drivers) which makes the mouse wheel not working as it should.
It was fixed since the v10.
