Option key to pan in the drawing window.

Post by daninski »

Option key to pan in the drawing window has stopped working for me, and I've no idea how to get it back :(
Any tips?

Ok, I think it's a bug. When I reload the project the pan works for 30 seconds or so... then stops. It just draws like a pen with the option key pressed.

Have you tried to use it from the tablet ? Maybe it's the option key that is defective.

Yep, I try it from the tablet and all hell breaks loose. The paper seems to break into tiles and flashes black and white. Juddery too.

Ok, so trying to record it narrowed down the symptoms. It only happens when I'm using the cintiq screen. So I can't record it, as far as I know. I could video it with the phone?
Also, if I load in a new project the option key will work again for a while. Doesn't do it when the screens are mirrored.

May I have more details about your Mac ? Are the Wacom drivers up to date ? Is TVPaint up to date too ?

Ok, here's a thing. The option key on the keyboard only works with the track pad, and the wacom option on the tablet only works with the pen :|

I'm up to date on all the drivers and OSX...

...and TVPaint is up to date too.

Hmm... The same for me and I don't have any trouble : I can mix mouse, trackpad, stylus, option key from keyboard and option key from the tablet... even the button in TVPaint interface works fine...

Does anyone on the forum else experience the same behaviour ?

GOOD NEWS! It was the wacom driver. A new one came out on the 27th which fixed it all. I can't help myself when I see an update! :D
