locate large file question

Hello,
Just a question,because I can open the file anyway. I have a long large shot,shot size is 4.34G, it is a long large scene with a large BG and many effects.

I am using tvpaint pro 64bit 11.0.3

I have Windows 7
Interl R core i5-4460 cpu@3.20 GHz
Ram 8 Gbs
System 64 bit
I can not open file directly it said can not locate file, I have to open tvpaint then try open this file again, but lucky I can still open it, not sure why, Is it because the file is too large?

sorry i am in another country for a long vacation, but i know once i combined some layers , as long as it is under 4g, i can open it directly without any issue. so i guess it is because the size is too big
