Cursor Scale with Brush Scaling

Post by codywalzel »

I've found a lot related to this in the forums, but the technical jargon was over my head. All I want to be able to do is this: (images from a photoshop brush)

Im using windows 10, TVP v 10.0.18 64 bit

You want to draw a line ?

BTW, you should update your software to version 10.5., which is free.

OK, I have updated now. But no, not draw a line, I'm trying to point out an example of when the cursor changes scale with the size of the line. When the brush is small, the cursor is small, when the brush is large, the cursor is large.

Oh ! Ok. It's been a long time since we've got asked for this.
And, as I'll always answer : I don't understand how Photoshop users can like to get displayed a brush whose the border does not match to the actual stroke. (No offence : I started to use Photoshop a while before TVPaint and I really never liked to have a huge HUD and finally draw a tiny little line).

It's not possible to do it by default, but you can emulate it. To do so, you can lower the pressure sensitivity of your tablet (the softest possible) and configure pressure connection of your brush like this :

Yes! This looks great! Thanks.

I guess it's just what you're used to. I have the opposite out-of-sorts feeling in TVP that you do in Photoshop. I get confused when I have a tiny dot cursor that makes a huge stroke.

Actually, I take it back, this did not work. I watched the video and assumed it would work, but it did not. I followed the video precisely, but I'm still not getting the effect thats in the video. My cursor is still the same size, I am not able to get a dot of any size on my screen as in the video. It is just a cross.

Here is my screen, the cursor is next to a line to show how large it should be showing up.
