Import PNG & PSD Problems

I'm trying to import an image via the drop down menu above the animation layers, as I need to import an image into an animation I've already started. I've tried importing it a s a png but I get this mesage : PNG WARNING: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile (file location)" I press ok and it pops up another three times, then the import window appears I press import and the message pops up again and crashes TVP. So I'm trying to import it as a psd instead. However, the first time, it imported all the separate layers as frames on the same layer. So I went back to the psd file and merged all the layers and now when I try to import it, the layer is blank....
