As usual, on Mac it's simpler than on win :)

As administrator :
Double-click on the file /Library/Preferences/fr.tvpaint.TVPaint90pro.plist
(if you have a standard version, omit 'pro' in the file name)

Edit that file creating as many 'lockcode' entries as needed, using the one already there as template.

Then copy the modified file on all computers.

@ Animark,
I think that most of your problems comes from the fact that you are using the both versions 8 and 9 on the same network.
Did you receive my email with the files and read the explanations in the previous page ?

@ Peter,
Please wait monday for the MAC issues.

Hi together,

on monday I hold my first seminar with TVPaint. There were 14 Students working simultaneous with 10 licenses about 4 hours. We've never had any problems, no crashs or something else. After a view minutes after start the students began to love that software ... we are all happy now.

so, now, only Peter has a problem because the dongles are not always recognized.

The IP server option has not been added on the Mac builds, but it will be done with the next update of TVP Animtion 9.

Stay in touch, Peter. As soon as it's done I will send you and Roderique (HKU) an email about it.

Hi Fabrice,
after severall months i found time to install the 5 suite TVPaint Animation Pro 9. But the workstations don't find the dongle on the network. I read the questions and aswers in this forum, but the answers (like using the reg-files) don't work. (Maybe because i fill in the wrong school/institute name.) The computers are PC's with WinXP 32b SP3.
Individually all programs work if the dongle is in the computer that's used at that moment, but no others.
I updated TVPA9 from your site today.

Hi Peter,

If the software does not see the dongles over the network, it may comes from the firewall settings : UDP ports 6001 and 6002 have to be opened to sentinel.

Please can you send an email to support (@) tvpaint (dot) fr ? I will send you a pdf document with more details on monday. (Hi have to check your license information on the database : dongle #, etc ...)

Feel free to report any problem here.

Don't worry about the school/user name, it's ok on this side.

As we use to do, we will follow you until it works.

Hi!
We have a network dongle and 15 computers with the TVPaint 10 pro software.
Everyone except ONE of these computers is finding the dongle over the network but not
the last one. I have tried to re-install the software on that particular computer with no change of result.

I've seen the manual about licensing:
http://static.tvpaint.com/downloads/man ... ork-en.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
That you can change the file "/Libraries/Preferences/", and open the file "fr.tvpaint.TVPaint100(pro).plist".
and put in the IP adress manually so it knows where to look.

However, this file is not there. We are using OS 10.9.5,
where is it located?

Hi Micksson,

But how can you find this oooooooold obsolete guide ?
(Now I defintely deleted it from our servers, but I still wander how some people could find it, as it was not mentionned on our website anymore).

Forget everything about plist file, it's a legacy way to activate TVPaint on Mac.

I propose you to continue this conversation by email. Could you please contact me ? (elodie@tvpaint.fr)
