My file dialogs and windows explorer in thumbnail mode shows thumbnails for tvpaint documents so it's definitely possible.

Other thing, if you're running a windows XP 64 bit, your problem could come from the OS : Windows 64 bit doesn't really like the thumbnails.

About your problem when installing TVP : you must shut down all windows and applications. Only the TVP animation installer must run.

I hope it will be okay now =)

@tonydusko: When you are updating TVPThumbnail you must close all explorer windows since they are using it. The message you had is due to the fact the dll is used and can not be overwrited.

@slowtiger: Thumbnail in explorer are only available on Windows when you are using Windows Explorer. I don't know why but it does not work when you are using Windows Explorer into TVP Animation (at least on all the computer I have tested it).

My mistake; I've been looking for thumbnails in directory Opus all this time, not directly at windows files and that's why I could never see thumbnails-- but I use TVP's browser anyway. I just thought I should correct my statement that I have never seen tvpp thumbs in windows. I confirm that they are visible, now that I have realized my error.

I'm using XP with 9.5.5 and in both cases, Windows Explorer and File Open for TVP using Windows interface option I have thumbnails for .tvp and .tvpp (of course the tvp backup files, not).

Uhm, I use a Mac, so there's no windows Explorer there.

The Mac OS file requester shows thumbnails of any image file, but none of any TVP file.
