Yeah. I had to purchase a Wacom Penabled Pen Single Side Switch off Amazon for 25. I've been looking for one with a Dual Switch but they're either out of stock everywhere or no longer exist. ANyway. Purchasing the one switch is worth it because the Wacom that comes with the Asus is there as a back up. And one switch is better than none.

@MatthewTardiff

Did you get the 32/2 model or the 64/4?

64/4

The Solid State drive is a big plus.

I've seen some videos of people upgrading to 8 gigs but I'm not willing to walk down that road yet. 4 has been doing just fine.

I think it's worth noting here that the EP121 carries the UM (ultra mobile) version of the corei3 or i5.. which is very underpowered when compared to that of the actual core i5 in the samsung I mentioned in my previous post.

Buyer beware. I returned mine, because while snappy.. it really wasn't outperforming my old Motion Le1700 core 2 duo by a wide enough margin, which is now 4 years old.

Hopefully the Series 7 will be exceptional,and the next Asus Slate will top this version, 10 fold. My experience with Motion Tablets is limited to a version several years ago that had a hard time running Photoshop 4 and was terribly hot after 20 minutes. It may have been the Le1700 because that looks like the version the studio had at the time but I'm not certain.

I know this might sound like a stupid question but how did you install TVPaint on your tablet? I don't have an external cd drive and got my order of TVPaint yesterday. I figured that if I downloaded the demo I could update it some how but I can't figure it out. Any help would be great.

In these cases, I will either make an .iso of the disk and transfer it by some other means or, if it comes with an installer program, just copy that to a thumb drive. Of course, all of this depends on having another computer. If you don't, you can find an external DVD drive for $10-30.

exactly. Making an iso or purchasing an affordable external disc drive is your best bet that I know of.

Alright, I finally ordered this thing. I've heard a lot about Wacom driver problems out of the box. What did you do to get around them?

I immediately restored the entire OS using the discs that come with it because I was experiencing boot problems and the Support at Asus was terrible.
So after scouring the net for information that seemed to be the best option. And it worked. No more Wacom driver problems and some other little hiccups went away as well.

I think that is your best bet just to avoid any issues.

If you have any other questions about it let me know.

After a week of playing with the EP121, I have to say this thing is amazing, especially at the $600 price point I found here in Canada. If anyone is on the fence about the purchase, here's another voice telling you to go for it.

Just got my copy of 9.5 on Friday. So sweet!
