Wait - let me understand - do you experience the same problem with TVPaint that it doesn't remember window position? Are you using 2 monitors? The solution for me was in D.T. Nethery's answer (see his pic) - in video settings, move the secondary monitor with TVPaint to the left of the main monitor. This worked for me.

Yes, very similar issue, except I am using Linux and not using a Cintiq but two monitors and I want TVPaint to open spread across both... right now it always opens in the left (main) monitor and I have to manually spread the window across. Not a huge issue, since it takes all of 5 seconds to do, but would be nice to have.

Could you try the solution that worked for me - set your secondary monitor on the left of the main one, not on the right – and let us know if it worked? Thanks.

All that did was change which side of the desktop (right side instead of left side) that TVP starts up in. Not going to work for me since I am using a virtual desktop spread across both monitors and switching the monitors around like this just makes the desktop backwards.

I have the same ( small) problem .

Imac 27 I7, Video card AMD HD 6970 m, Lion V 10.7.2, Cintiq 21- intuos 3 technology .

I notice in TVP 10.0.2, it opens on the same monitor I used last (in this case, Cintiq) rather than defaulting to the first monitor every time. At least on Linux this seems to be working now
