Yes, that's it!

When I set it to 0,02s, it is in sync with the waveform although it is not possible to hear anything in that short amount of time :D
Setting the duration to 0,05s-0,10s works best for me.

It also depends on your framerate : if you work in 12fps, 0,10 is fine, but in 30 FPS or more, you can lower the scrub duration.

Wow, really glad to get this solution. Thank you Elodie. I checked the online manual about this setting and it appears somewhat unclear to me as to how adjusting it works. It says, "- The first Scrub Duration option sets the duration of the scrubbing." which is a bit like saying that the height adjustment adjusts the height. It doesn't really explain what it means.

Fabrice seconded your note about me being rude. I'm going to explain again that working very hard on my film and coming upon glitches like this and the other sound issues can be very frustrating. I know you are working hard on a fix, because you tell me you are, but from a user point of view, we just have to live with the issue for months while we wait, not knowing if this will be addressed any time soon. My film depends on voice and lip sync in a big way, so the sound distortion and sync and repeating audio is an annoyance. I've been living with it, but the sync problem was worse because I am relying on it's accuracy to do my work. We now have a simple solution which did not require any software revision, just a setting, but it also points to the fact that the manual is lacking in certain regards as we often find solutions here on the forum, not in the manual itself.

I can't say I like being accused of rudeness when I am asking genuine questions about real issues. I always appreciate the help I get here, but I hope you can also appreciate what it means to work on a film which relies entirely on your software. I am a keen advocate of TVPaint and tell people often how great it is, but also advice them that there are lots of things to know to avoid the problems and issues I have had. This sync issue is another one. It would be great to make the adjustment to the manual so that it is clearer how this setting can impact sync, especially as this is a very simple fix.

Thanks again for your help with this.

You're welcome David.

For the rest, it's just a typical "languange gap" :)

For the next issue, don't hesitate to record a video immediately. And for the guide, we take good note of this, thank you !

Thanks for the explanation, David.

note to myself : "+1" is just evil ... it prevents people to write a detailled sentence and communicate better.

In fact, I wanted to say that I share the frustration :

In a film, it's easy to estimate how much time will be required to finish a scene, and thus, how much time will be required to finish the whole film.
But this is not always happening when one is developping : Often, you need to search without being sure if you will find a solution. Once you finally find it, there could be a lot of side effects, so you have to run many tests, check the stability in various situations, etc. Then come all the interface and the necessary discussions to make it user-friendly (btw, I will post some questions for you in an other topic about the warp tool).

I really wish I could give estimations to solve problems. But when I know that there is a chance I can be wrong, I avoid to do so.

No arm done anyway, I'm glad it's solved.
