Re: TVP 9.0 -- a curious non-sighting
received TVP Animation PRO v8.6 when upgrading from Mirage v1.5 .. I would expect to receive v9 upgrade at no cost.
I have received no email regarding upgrade options to v9
regards,
William

I think you should describe to their newsletter:
it's here : http://www.tvpaint.com/
v9 is not free for users coming from Mirage - only free for those having bought in June a complete new TVP package - and not any upgrade or special offers.
(IMO).

I am sure TVP 9.0 is well worth cost for upgrading.

William, it is: perfect playback picture, multitrack sound system and an Export panel with short and long term memory. When you open it, start exploring from the preference panel, where there are a few new settings and a few new old settings. You will find Mirage GUI (black) option in there.
To break apart the project and layer panels, shake them up vigorously by double clicking on their tough frames. These are a few things that got me through the birth pains.

Re: TVP 9.0 -- a curious non-sighting
Ooops. I am back where I came from, with the beta-team.
I came across those clips just recently too and was pretty appalled by how "primitive" they now appear to me, after having more time with both the software and the Wacom stylus. I've had that film in my head for about ten years now and am giddy with anticipation. Not a dog in sight in that story either.
Have you read the book? It's right up your alley too; Slocum hated you steamers.

masterchief wrote:what is cost for upgrade in USD?
Well I paid EUR :310,96 <-----> this is USD : 482.36
But we (Germans) do have to pay tax of 19% (=about 62 €).
So without any tax it is about 250 € = 389 $.

But it says in the newsletter you can save 20% of you buy before July 7. That would be 209E. Or did I misunderstand?

I have not read the book, sorry to say. They have just about done away with fossil fuel steam propulsion ships in the navy.... older aircraft carriers are all that is left, then they have diesel electric propulsion units, gas turbine propulsion units and then nuclear power.Paul Fierlinger wrote: Ooops. I would love to see the Slocum project when completed.

Oops! I calculated this at 6:00 this morning while waiting for Norman's eye surgery. This is my excuse anyway. Thanks William.
