I made a little attachment for the dongle and my tablet.

I'm very interested in this or the Samsung now. I lately find myself really missing my old Motion Computing tablet and kind of regret selling it. I am glad I, at least, sold it to a great artist who is still getting great use out of it to this day, but drawing just isn't the same for me without it. The Cintiq models just don't do it for me. They're too big, bulky and make my arm tired. Also it requires you to be tethered to your main computer. I like the idea of a slate I can go anywhere with, and still do full quality work.

I just had a chance to mess around with the Samsung Series 7 Slate and I remembered your post, Terrence. It was a very capable machine and much thinner than the EP 121. I didn't notice much difference in performance, but the device wasn't being tested by anything as intense as photoshop. I did like that they had a wider variety of charging options, including a USB adaptor.

Of course, I found out about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 on the same day. That device runs Android, which is fine for TVPaint purposes, but it boasts 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity on a Wacom digitiser. Considering the launch price is expected to be between US$500-750, I'm looking forward to giving one a spin.

I'll be adopting the Samsung Galaxy Tablet as well to replace my first gen Ipad. The fact that I can have sketchbook and tvpaint is the driving factor because the first gen Ipad still runs great as a consumption tablet. I'll use it alongside my ep121 though it cracks me up a little that the samsung pressure has more levels than my ep121 at a fraction of the cost. :-(
But it is a slick tablet and it would be nice if I could leave the ep121 at home and carry around the Samsung Galaxy for sketching and rough animation in tvPaint.

A friend of mine just picked up the Series 7 and I'm impressed. It's slick, light and doesn't feel better or worse than my ep121 as far as photoshop and sketchbook are concerned.

Also, looking back at the earlier part of the post, I've changed how I carry the ep121 and the dongle.

I got rid of the folio that comes with the Asus. Mainly because I tried altering it one to many times and it fell apart. So I picked up a Day Planner for 10 dollars at Target, ripped out some of the guts and turned it into a new folio that feels good, has a magnetic latch and pen holder. I also, stuck small slips of velcro on the back of the Asus and the folio so I could quickly, not quietly, take it out. I also added a slip of velcro to the dongle and 16 gig usb drive.
All in all I'm happy with it but I would really like the Samsung style case instead.
