Sewie, would it be possible that you MP me a link to a zip file containing your TVPaint config ?
As I've never be able to reproduce your crash, maybe it will help me.

Your (default) configuration directory is here: C:\Users\NAME\AppData\Roaming\tvp animation 10 pro
To be sure of the configuration used, start TVPaint by holding the "Ctrl" key, to open the startup panel.
In the popup configuration, select "Change folder", at the top of the window, you will see the directory used for the config. (and then cancel)

Sure.
I went back to 10.0.18 but I didn't change my User Configuration during uninstall so it should be the same as the one I had on 10.5.

Unfortunately, everything works fine here with your config :|

There are too many actions to be able to debug (without crash here).
For the moment, the only actions (keys) you use are:
_ [ b ] for activating "cut brush: free hand"
_ [S] for activating "selection tool: free hand"
_ [Ctrl + D] for clearing the existing selection
_ [V] for activating "transform tool"
_ [->] to move to the next image
Did I miss something ?

Now some questions (always try them with all the steps you make to crash):
_ does it crash if you use another tool than the transform tool ? (wrap tool/panning/filling tool)
_ does it crash if you use only cutbrush and selection tool ? (without transform tool)
_ does it crash if you use only cutbrush and transform tool ? (without the selection)
_ does it crash if you use only cutbrush ?
_ does it crash if you use only the transform tool ?

_ and to be sure, you can make the steps you did to crash, but this time, without using any shortcuts. (I mean take your keyboard and turn it over)
Choose your tool by clicking on the main panel, clear the selection using the main panel, choose your image by clicking on the timeline. It's to be sure that the shortcuts are not the problem.

Let me know if you can reduce the number of steps to make crash.

Just installed 10.5.0 and it crashes all the time.
I'm using a Cintiq 22HD and I set ERASE in the tablet-drivers to one of my stylus-buttons, but if I press it in 10.5.0 TVPaint crashes immediately. The same occurs if I use the back of my stylus, which uses ERASE-mode too.
The same happened to a friend, which updated to the 10.5.0.

Since it's hard to draw without erasing, is there a chance you will reupp the previous version? Cause I only got the one from the DVD, till this bug is fixed.

Those are the ones I am using. There are some others that I use mostly for custombrushes but the ones you mention were involved in the crashes.

It only crashes with the cutbrush. If I use the cutbrush after working for a while it very often crashes. I have a feeling it has to do with the history filling up and getting faulty.

Currently I am working on 10.0.18 but I'll give it a go this weekend when I find the time.

I'm about to send you a PM with the link ;)

Don't worry, a fixed version should be available soon.

Thank you a lot again Elodie. Could you reproduce this bug?

It's probably because of the stylus swap : if so, yes, it has been fixed yet :)

I think I found something about the random "cut brush" crash.
Sewie, can you try to do the steps which make crash but UNcheck the "Activate line smoothing" option in the "Shape settings" panel.

I've been working pretty intensively with the new version (10.5.1) for the last hour, both with and without Line Smoothing activated, and it feels stable, guys. No crashes, very pleasant to work with.

Looks like you fixed it. Thanks!

Has the Time Warning feature in the Preview Settings window been deactivated in the 10.5.1 release? I think it's not working anymore.

Have been working fulltime for almost a week with the latest version and it feels really robust. No crashes at all.
Very dependable.

Haven't yet tested all the new features but I will soon.

If you disabled the option, it's normal.
