Seperate monitors

Hello, Is it possible to separate the views/tools/timeline in TVPaint and display them on a different monitor, like in PS? I have a Cintiq and IMac. It seems I cannot put parts of TVP on Cintiq and parts on the computer screen. All other software I've been able to figure it out. There must be some setting I'm missing on TVPaint. Please advise, thank you.

I think you will find answers here :
viewtopic.php?f=21&t=9779&p=90890&hilit ... tor#p90783" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
(it's a topic for windows, but MacOS is working in the same way)

I don't think so, since Nathan wants TVPaint on only one screen on Windows and Trayon5 wants TVPaint on two screens on OS X.
It only works if your second screen has the same resolution or at least the same height ( if its right or left from your main display ), cause TVPaint is one solid window, which you can stretch over to the second screen (if they share the same height) to store some panels there, but you can't just move a panel outside of this window, like you can do in Photoshop for example.

You are correct schwarzgrau, it did not help. It was a discussion but I found no actual recommendations. I want to animate on the Cintiq using a new zoom window, and also view the rest of the program on my computer. Thank you

sorry, I made a mistake when looking for the post.
I will find an other one.

But basically, with the current technology, you have to strech your TVPaint window over the two monitors.

Ok, is there some type of configuration I need to apply to stretch it over two screens?

No, you put the window on your left screen and drag the right bottom corner over to the right screen, as you would with any other window.

You are suggesting using both the cintiq and computer as one monitor. I cannot do that. When I left click drag the software it remains "grey" until I let go and it snaps to one of the monitors. That's the point I'm trying to make, in PS I can break off the various windows and put them on the cintiq OR computer. I cannot do that with TVPaint. This has never be addressed in this forum?

You need to uncheck this option in the SYSTEM PREFERENCES under MISSION CONTROL

In my case it's german, but this option is called "displays uses own spaces" or something like that.

Then you can stretch the TVPaint window over several screens, like I did here
screens.png
In my case you see there is a lot of unused space on my main display, cause it has a 1920x1080 resolution and my second display has only a 1280 x 800 resolution. That's the reason you can use this function only if your displays share the same resolution (or at least the same height)
