Hello! I've been using TVPaint for about a month now and have just got around to registering on the forums.
My problem is that when I use the erase tool, it doesn't 100% erase the part of the drawing. It instead fades it to a point where I can't erase anymore of it until I go to a different frame and back, then I can erase more, then I have to go back and forth again to 100% erase the drawing.
I've noticed sometimes it allows me to erase it entirely with no problem, seemingly randomly, so i'm assuming i'm accidentally activating a setting?
This increases the time it takes to animate, so I would appreciate an explanation even if its telling me i'm being dumb and activating ghost mode or something!
My details:
Windows 10 Pro 64 bit version 1607 (OS build 14393.576)
Intel core i7 - 3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz 3.50 GHz
16 GB RAM
TVPaint Standard 11.0.3 (32 bit)
Wacom Intuos CTH-490 (Driver version 6.3.17-3)
Also, hope everyone had a wonderful festive period, and wishing you all the best for new year!
Erase tool just fading the drawing slightly. Topic is solved
Re: Erase tool just fading the drawing slightly
Check whether a paper is active while erasing (it shouldn't).

Look at the tool panel (the settings on the left). Can you see a little box with a P nearby "power" ? If so, click on the P to display connexions and choose "constant" instead of "pressure" .

Thank you for the replies!
I've included a printscreen if that helps?
Before erase
After (faint orange where the custom brush was)
As in the active/inactive layer button? Its lit upslowtiger wrote:Check whether a paper is active while erasing (it shouldn't).
It was already set to constant. I reselected it, saved and restarted the program and its still doing the same issue.Elodie wrote:Look at the tool panel (the settings on the left). Oh goodness the enable/disable paper button was right there!
Disabling that works!
Thank you very much!
