Air brush tool not working ?(Colorize effect) Topic is solved

It's been an hour but i can't get tvpaint to apply the colorize effect when selected

(In the following picture i've selected black, and wish to color the grey lines into black (And i tried using darken only too but that didn't work, however lighten only works with a lighter color than black. eg: green)

In short, lighten only option in the airbrush only works with a lighter color than black, but colorize doesn't work with black when the lines are clearly grey
Edit: Colorize doesn't seem to work with any color
So it can't color low opacity lines?
Any suggestions?

Colorize works with grey lines.

It doesn't work with completely black or white lines (on transparent), and it doesn't work with black lines being 50% transparent - maybe that's what you try?

But you can create a layer with 100% white under your strokes and merge it with them, then the former 50% opacity lines will become grey and can be colorized.

Maybe you should first update your license to TVPaint 10.5.7

Still no luck, i've redrawn the lines with no opacity, same situation

Actually, yeah, since moving to an old pc of mine which has this version of tvpaint felt a lot more closer to home , i haven't updated it yet

I confirm the problem is fixed in the 10.5.7.

The problem is actually fixed in 10.5.7 and above
