Hello
There doesnt seem to be a general spot for newcomers to ask basic questions.. So Ill ask here.
I have tvpaint 10.5.7
Im trying to figure out how I can turn off autoBreak from a single layer, so i can draw in previous frames without accidentally creating new instances.
any help would be appreciated

I think the forum you're looking for to ask basic questions like "how can I turn off auto-break instance" is the Technical Support forum .MindChamber wrote: ↑08 Oct 2017, 23:14 Hello

Also have a look at the TVPaint 10 User Manual on the main website under Support > Manuals > where it says "You need to find an old manual for TVPaint 10, 9 or 8 ? Please click here ."
The TVPaint 10 manual - https://www.tvpaint.com/v2/files//downl ... manual.pdf
Look under Lesson 06: The steps to creating an animated image , "Working with Instances" in section 6-11 - through - 6-25 .
You can enable or disable Auto-Break Instance from the Image menu > Instances > Auto Break Instance (and other option Auto Create Instance ) .
It's also possible in Preferences > Keyboard Shortcuts to set a key shortcut for "Toggle Auto Break Instance" .
