While working on an important project my computer unexpectedly locked up so I shut it down. When I boot it up again I find that I can't open the file anymore. The data is still there apparently but whenever I try to open it tvpaint just gives me a new project! Please help!

My OS version and software version:
win8 , 64bit
TvPaint Animation 10 Pro (10.5.3-64bit)

Hello kgbla,

TvPaint Animation 10 Pro (10.5.3-64bit)

Can you first update TVPaint Animation 10 to the last version, which is 10.5.7, then try to open the file again?
If it still doesn't work, you can send me the project
