copy part of image and paste into another image

Hi,

I want to select a part of an image and copy/cut that into another image in the exact position.
The copy from and paste into images have more artwork and that should not be removed.

What is the best way to do this?

The easiest way I know is making a selection, copy this selection to a custom brush, then mark the frames you would like to apply the selection and use "stamp in place".

There is some custom-panel from Svengali (?) which allows you to easily do this with two custom-panel-actions. I can't find the original post, but I incorporated this custom panel actions in my standard panel, so I exported this two actions for you.
As mentioned above you make a selection, then hit COPY TO BRUSH. After that you need to mark the frames (even if it's just one) and hit PASTE IN PLACE. Assigning shortcuts make this even faster.

HI,

since I have standard version of TVpaint the georgescript dont seems to work so I try to set up an action .
I like to have a stamp in place and get back to previous tool or pentool.

But among the Set Keystrokes I cant find the stamp in place action to add.
It is not there?

I'm pretty sure you can use this script even with the standard version, did you try it?. About the missing stamp in place in the actions you probably need to do a feature request.

Do your brush look like the part of the image you want to copy?

When I press the "paste into Place" button the brush is empty,

IIf I press the "stamp in place" button in the tool-settings the brush is the part I copied so there is something with the action that dont work.

The action from this custom panel requires to mark the frame/frames you want your drawing to be applied to, before hitting the button. Maybe you missed this step?

Now I got it to work.
And I understand why it did not work before.

When using the stamp i place function in the tool you can just select a layer and to be sure you need to a the correct frame.

But with this action you need to select the instance ( turning a bit darker ).

Got it. Finally. thansk fot support.

Trying out this script in 11.7.1 pro.
It works but if I want to paste into a second image and press "Paste in Place" no paste are made but the image is added to the brush and when I try another time it works. Maybe something has to be changed in the code to keep it loaded in the clipboard?
