I dont remember if me or someone else asked about this before...
but here it goes
A line-auto-smoothin ability would be really cool..
For people well trained and experienced in classic animations TVPaint as it is is ok..
But when needing help for a bigger project good cleanup artists are hard to find.. So less experienced ones get a morale boost with a line auto-smooth feature.. and! cleanup process finishes much faster.
As an example i would put ToonBoomStudio similar feature (or even USAnimation's)
But for non "pure" vector" I think TVpaint developers should see MangaStudio
because it features such an effect really good..
(of course painting in lineart mode with less bits .... i dunno if it's easy at all) but it would be really cool...
