Hi,
I try to create a kind of crosshatching brush but can't get it right.
I want it to look like in the attached image. It's created in Clip studio paint.
Thanks for all help I can get.

Your example shows lines in parallel as created by a rastrum: that special 5-pointed pen for drawing staff lines for musical notation. It's possible to do, rotation commanded by direction, but you will experience chaotic behaviour at beginning of some strokes.
Cross hatching is done by short parallel and straight lines, in several layers and different directions. Since it's only used to fill areas I can simply create a bunch of stroke bundles and have their orientation set at random.

-thank you for quick answer.
I managed to create a brush that works.
What does the shift parameter do in the brush setting?
Could not find info in the on line manual

Custom Brush: Shift is the 2nd parameter. It creates an offset of the brush position from the pen position.

Yes, when you have the custombrush in original mode there is a shift setting.
I did test to change that but did not see any difference so i dont know what effect is has.

ah yes, shift is not available in all the stampmodes.
in the two alpha modes its not there.
shift refers to colorshift. according to the inline help...
the only way i could even see it doing something, was in smear mode, where having it on causes it to shift pixels during the stroke (like the panto tool) but when its off ( 0%shift) it only takes the colorvalue during the smear.
