custompanels cumbersomness

This issue is so annoying i'd call it a bug.

You can (should name your custompanel.
but if you want to export it you have to name it again!?
I think if a user went through the trouble of naming their panel this name should automatically become the default name
in the export custom panel form.

this form is very exstensive but also unclear
f.i. what is an identification string? and why should i want to change that value?

even when you load a panel that already has a name.
if you want to export it TVPaint requires you to name it again!

also when you load a panel that you already have loaded... TVPaint will overwrite it without question!!!
making you loose all changes you might have made to it.

100% agree.
After creating panels and scripts for the last 6 years I am so tired of having to rewrite information every time, this is not very well designed indeed.

The identification string is used by the software to determine if two panels are identical (all fields are described here: https://www.tvpaint.com/doc/tvp11/index ... s-use-tvpx )
I think if a user went through the trouble of naming their panel this name should automatically become the default name
in the export custom panel form.
At the very least, we'll try to do that.

So it says 'internal' ...this could remain under the hood then ... right? but aparently its also not working... should this number not change automaticly as soon as you change something to the panel?
to prevent over writing? it clearly doesn't work, because tvp overwrote a panel i improved when i loaded the oldversion to compare them... without the 'are you sure' question.
