Ink Brushes

Hello.
A few years back I was lucky to grab myself a tool preset for Photoshop made by J P Vine for his storyboard work.
I think he is still using it..
I was wondering if anybody know how to replicate ,especially, the inky brushes from his tool set.
I have been trying different things in TvPaint to get the same type of brush behavior. But no luck so far.
I particular like the randomly "break up" of the line during drawing.
I have added a few screenshot of what I mean.
Any feedback is grately appreciated.
Thank you in advanced.
A.

Wow I just found these "Chinese" brushes. Very cool and most likely what I was looking for.
I´ll try them out.
Thanks

Can I ask?..
Since I am not a it wiz..
Is there a "smart"way to make this line "break up" randomly while drawing?.. Do you, perhaps know the settings to use?
I like the one you send. But it is to perfect and consistant. you know what I mean?
Maybe a combo of "San_tools" and "Chinese_Brush"?

This should be the final look.
I hope I can get it to look like this and still be animated.
The wacom setting for the pen is set to next to firm. So it makes the line break in a cool and random way.
Kind of like Calvin and hobbes look. Sort of..

TvPaint is to perfect!...
Does anybody know how to "mess up" a brush Properties?
The San_tool_brushes are to perfect.. They are actually very cool and very close to something I want to and is trying to use for my little film.
I wanted to "stay" in TvPaint but I do not know how to manipulate this brush so I get the look and feel of the brush started out with in PS.
I have uploaded a little example of the look from the PS brush I wanted to replicate in TvPaint.
How do I make the "break up" look while drawing?
It is greatly appreciated if anybody can help with this.
All the best

In an animated brush the easiest way to get interruptions is to include some empty frames.

Ok do you perhaps have links to any tutorials on how to implement that?..
I am not familiar with this process. Sorry for my Ignorance on this issue.

I can only recommend to read the manual about animated brushes and play around with that a lot. Start with completely opaque brushes and only a handful of frames, then tweak the brush settings to see what you can achieve.

There are some video tutorials on YouTube (official TVPaint Co. videos and others) which cover how to customize TVPaint brushes, including how to make an anim. brush.

Thank you D.T. Nethery!!!.
Let´s see if I manage. There is aloooot of frames and work to be drawn and I need to priorities in the the right places.
It would be cool just to stay in TvPaint for the whole "thing".
I thank you all for your inputs, links and feedback.
All the best!

I'm curious about your brush settings for the J.P. Vine "Inky Large" brush. I found the J.P. Vine brush set and added it to Photoshop. However when I draw strokes with the J.P. Vine "Inky Large" brush I don't get the same amount of line breakup as you show on your example. Are your brush settings different than the ones shown below ?

If I use very quick, light strokes I can get the line break up.
