Repeat 150 instances with 1 click

In TVP 11.5 can I change a layer that is 150 instances all on 1's to 300 instances on 2's by selecting all the instances and using the repeat function? With just one click?

Here's a longer explanation:

Hello!

Currently I am still using TVP 8.6.3

I have loved it for years and I've never had a problem. But now I am interested in an upgrade to 11.5

I am using the 11.0 demo and comparing it to TVP 8.6.3 which is what I am used to.

My work involves importing 3D animation to TVP.

It is easier to work and render on 1's in my 3D software than working in 2's. Because rendering on 1's instead of 2's saves time.

But ultimately I want to change the 3d render file on 1's to an AVI from TVP 11.5 on 2's.

In TVP 8.6.3, lets say I have a 3D render on 1's of 150 frames. I can select all the instances or drawings on the layer. And then I can use a feature called "Duplicate Image Right" (see screenshot.) I push the button, and all of the images on 1's are repeated. It only takes one click to repeat all 150 images, (or instances, and they are now called.)

The "Duplicate Image Right" feature is a part of something called "Animator's Toolkit." Maybe "Animator's Toolkit" was from a 3rd party vendor.

I see that TVP 11.5 allows one to "repeat" instances. I tried selecting all of the instances on a layer and wanted to change those images or instances on 1's to 2's. But I was only able to repeat one instance at a time. In TVP 11.5, if I have a render with 150 frames on 1's, and I want to change that render in TVP to 300 frames on 2's, how would I do that?

You can see why I would not want to repeat 150 frames one at a time. Any thoughts?

Thanks for your help!

Select the complete layer, click "+1" in the animator panel.

Thank you Slowtiger, you always come through.

I admit my question was complicated, or even badly written. But I knew that in 8.6.3 you clicked on the +1. What I was asking was "could you do that in 11.5? And if so, how?"

But your response led me to the documentation, and I found the Handy Custom Panel. I and figured out how to select all and choose "Set Exposure" in the Handy Custom panel. So the mystery is solved.

I figured TVP 11.5 had something like this, I just didn't know what it was called.

Thanks for your response!

Hi,

I made my own action for it in TVP 11.5 (Since I also couldn't find it)

Make custom panel, add an action, find: key:Layer:exposure:add single and it should work...

I think this should fix your problem, right?

Best,

Joost

That will work, but it does already exist in the Handy Custom Panel. https://www.tvpaint.com/doc/tvp11/index ... nced-handy
