Tal Kantor's "In Other Words" and "Letter to a Pig"

Back in 2016 the TVPaint Newsletter mentioned the film "In Other Words" by Tal Kantor (graduation film made at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design) . In an interview online Tal Kantor describes the process of the film: "This is an Animation technique which organically fuses freehand drawing animation with segments of live-action. Made with: Watercolors & Ink on paper, 2D drawn animation in TVPaint, , Canon DSLR video shooting, Adobe After Effects, Photoshop."

Tal Kantor has completed a new film called "Letter To A Pig" which will debut at Annecy. The film uses mixed-media combination of hand-drawn animation with live-action footage, and this time added another layer to it – acrylic-painted animation on paper . This film also utilizes TVPaint for the drawn animation because one of the artists who worked on the film, Yali Herbet (also a graduate of Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design) lists the film on her LinkedIn Resume: "Letter to a Pig" a short animation film by director Tal Kantor : My main role was to render out scenes from TVPaint software to After Effects and compositing layers on the timeline, preparing the project for special effects.
