This section is dedicated to the feature & improvement requests (be sure what you are asking does not exist yet in TVPaint Animation ;) )

Please add support for DLSR cameras

Post by D.T. Nethery »

I had mentioned support for DSLR capture in the thread in Tech Support about Video Input not working in 11.7 (or 11.5.3) , where it is noted that the Video Input is not connecting to webcams in MacOS (Catalina, Big Sur, Monterey , and presumably Ventura) as in previous versions of TVPaint, but it seems like this should be posted as a new Feature & Improvement request.

I am requesting that the TVPaint developers take a look at the latest Canon SDK to see if it would be possible to add input from Canon DSLR cameras.

And Nikon DLSR cameras, too -

Also, Apple now has a new thing for MacOS 13 Ventura called Continuity Camera which allows use of an iPhone as an external camera for high-resolution photo capture from iPhone's video stream in any Mac app.
