Clip Layers Structure Export - change DPI ?

I am trying to export a tiff image sequence , converting to 120 dpi . Here are the export settings:
- Screen Shot 2023-08-03 at 7.42.21 AM.png (39.62 KiB) Viewed 2961 times
but when I check the exported images they are 72 dpi , not 120 dpi.
UPDATE: I think I see the problem now. It appears it is not possible to enter a custom number for dpi (such as 120), you can only change the dpi to the presets : 72, 150, 300, 600, 1200.
- Screen Shot 2023-08-03 at 8.23.45 AM.png (11.38 KiB) Viewed 2953 times
Then this is a new feature request: let user specify custom dpi .

Hello David, custom DPI seems to work fine in other formats but according to our tests, the TIFF format doesn't seem to let the user export in a DPI value different from the presets.
Which program do you use to check the DPI of your exported TIFF file? Is it with an import inside TVPaint? The Windows file explorer seems unreliable regardind the DPI values of files.
Also, when this prompt appears, do you click "Yes"?

TIFF export does not seem to work even when using the Preset values . For example: I import a PNG image with DPI value of 300 into TVPaint. TVPaint Project Information confirms that it is 300 DPI.
Then when I go to export it to TIFF and set the DPI to 150 , the resulting TIFF file is 72 DPI.

I use Photoshop to check the DPI of the exported TIFF files.
I also notice trying to import a TIFF file with DPI value of 300 into TVPaint the DPI value is not retained. The resulting TVPaint project file has a DPI value of 72 .
Whereas a PNG file retains the DPI value when imported into TVPaint.

I click No. I tried clicking Yes and it made no difference. The exported TIFF has DPI value of 72.

Here is another problem I noticed:
1.) I create a new project in TVPaint. Project is 4096 x 3072 , DPI 300.
2.) Export from Clip:Layers Structure , change DPI value to 150 .
3.) The resulting exported image is 72 DPI , not 150 DPI. (with TIFF, JPG, TGA, BMP ... only PNG will have the correct DPI value of 150)
4.) But now when I check the Project Information in TVPaint it shows the DPI of the project has changed to 150.
Exporting should not alter the DPI value of the original project in TVPaint.
This happens no matter what the image format is : PNG, TIFF, JPG, TGA, BMP

Do your tests show the same results , that changing the DPI in Clip: Layers Structure will also change the DPI of the original project within TVPaint ?
Also, that the only image format which will work properly to change the DPI value is PNG , but all other image formats -- TIFF, JPG, TGA, BMP -- result in a DPI value of 72 , no matter what DPI value was chosen by the user in the Clip: Layers Structure export panel ?

Hello David, my first tests seem to give similar results but we need to make more tests on MacOS. This week's focus was on shipping a new beta but we aren't forgetting about this issue.
