Animation export format MP4 is missing

Post by Peter Wassink »

in the project i am working on now i don't do much rendering myself, so i don't know when this changed....

but i just noticed that i can no longer export in mp4 format?
The option is no longer in the list of animation formats

what am i missing, when did this change and how can it be solved?
in v12 the options are present.

That sounds hopefull... But how is it possible it is now missing in my current v11?
Does TVPaint create this list of Animation formats based on your current system... but then why do i have mp4 available in v12!?
does it have to do with the install? i'm puzzled

Hello Peter, this is indeed unexpected. Which version of v11 are you running on this screenshot?
Does using a new configuration, that you create in parallel of your current one, using the Startup Panel, help?

Hi Dean,

Its was v 11.7.3
switching configurations did not change it but...
After upgrading to v 11.7.4 just now, the issue was fixed!
still a bit of a mystery why this would have occurred.

and i noticed the program file folder of the newly installed v 11.7.4 was named wrong

Isee, Windows has a tendency to install newer versions of preinstalling programs in preexisting installation folders with a similar name or to remember the last folder a program with a particular name was installed into.
This might have caused settings file conflicts.
